Cracking Iceberg

Imagine that you are standing on a beach, gazing out at a vast, majestic iceberg in the distance. The iceberg appears to be a solid, unchanging mass with a clear form and identity. However, if you were to examine the iceberg more closely, you would realize that beneath the surface, it is constantly changing and shifting., In fact, the majority of the icebergs mass is hidden beneath the surface of the water, and it is constantly being shaped and molded by the forces of wind, waves, and currents., This hidden, constantly changing aspect of the iceberg is often referred to as the cracking-iceberg in Buddhist teachings., The cracking-iceberg serves as a powerful metaphor for the concept of emptiness, reminding us that all phenomena, including ourselves, are inherently impermanent, interdependent, and empty of any fixed, inherent existence., By recognizing the cracking-iceberg within ourselves and the world around us, we can cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of the nature of reality, and a greater sense of wisdom and compassion towards ourselves and others.
