Puddle

Imagine that you are walking on a rainy day and you come across a puddle on the ground. At first glance, you might see the puddle as a stagnant body of water with a clear form and identity. However, if you were to examine the puddle more closely, you would realize that it is not a static, permanent object. The puddle is constantly changing and is dependent on various conditions for its existence.
For example, the puddle is dependent on the rainwater that created it, the soil that holds it, and the temperature and evaporation that cause it to change over time. The puddle does not have a fixed volume, shape or identity. If you were to observe the puddle over time, you would see that it changes as it evaporates, merges with other puddles, or is absorbed into the ground.
This recognition of emptiness can help us to see our own identities and experiences in a different light. By recognizing that we are also constantly changing, interdependent beings, we can let go of our attachment to fixed ideas about ourselves and others. This can lead to greater compassion, wisdom, and freedom in our lives. Like the puddle that changes over time, we too are constantly evolving and transforming, and recognizing this can help us to live more fully in the present moment.
