Wobbling Jelly

Imagine that you are looking at a bowl of jelly. You might think that the jelly is a solid, permanent substance with a clear form and identity. However, if you were to observe the jelly more closely, you would realize that it is not a static, permanent object. In fact, the jelly is constantly wobbling and changing shape, and it is dependent on various factors for its existence.
For example, the jelly is dependent on the surrounding temperature for its consistency and shape. If it is left out in the heat, it will become softer and more fluid, while if it is refrigerated, it will become firmer and more solid. Additionally, the jelly is made up of various components, such as water, sugar, and gelatin, which are themselves dependent on various conditions for their existence.
If you were to break down the jelly into its individual components, you would find that there is no inherent self-nature or essence to the jelly. It is simply a collection of parts that are dependent on various conditions for their existence.
This recognition of emptiness can help us to understand that all phenomena are interdependent and lack inherent existence. By understanding the impermanence and interdependence of all things, we can start to let go of our attachment to fixed ideas and identities. This can lead to greater wisdom, compassion, and freedom in our lives.
